Hello all you fellow smokers. I have been using a weber style vertical charcoal smoker for about 6 years, and I purchased a Smoke Hollow electric about 6 weeks ago. I used this web site and tips from other SH users to head off some potential headaches, and have so far done a pork shoulder , and a whole turkey to perfection. Have another shoulder in this morning. The electric gives me an easier start and requires less attention when I have other things going on in a day. I will never completely abandon good old charcoal and soaked chunks, but I am now a believer in electric smoking. 6 hours till pork heaven

If you didn't read the "Terms of Service" notes.....please do.  There are a few things that everyone should know about those little "pesky" rules before plunging into the forums. It's just a reminder of what to do and what is sort of a no-no here.
