Here we go again!  I think I am getting a better handle on this.  I rubbed my brisket with olive oil and the commercial rub I have been using yesterday afternoon and put it in the fridge.

At 4,30 this morning, I took it out and let it rest on the counter while I started my coals.  By 5.00, my smoker was up to temp, and I put the meat on.  Naturally, It started raining just then.  twenty minutes later it had stopped, and things are progressing nicely.
