I figured it was time to get the smoke on

Moved to MS from IN after losing my dad in January. I've been coming down here for the past few years (for the fall/winter) to fish, and liked it so much that I'd decided to move here when something happened to dad. He would have been 91, and I miss him daily.

Always grilled, but wanted to expand the horizons (since I've been known to "put it away") on eating options, so I picked-up a MES 30 last month, as well as a larger Webber 'grill. I full-time in an RV, so the smaller Webber didn't cut it when more than one buddy stopped by for grub. Recently decided I wanted to try my hand at jerky, so there's 5 pounds of top round marinating as I type. I also picked-up a cheap dehydrator to try jerky both ways.

Been lurking here the past several days, and picked-up lots of great info. I'm also sure I'll have questions so I figured I just as well climb aboard. Glad to be here, and looking forward to eating some if the things I'll be able to make now, as well as getting more ideas/recepies. Already used the MES several times, and have been very pleased with the results.

Thanks!

Brian
