Hey guys,

New to the forum, just thought I would say Hi!. A little about myself;

I am born and raised in south eastern British Columbia, I grew up hunting and fishing, my favourite way to eat fish is smoked so I bought a Bradley smoker about 5 years ago, it's not bad but I am currently making plans to build my own smoker, something a little larger than the bradley, something I could smoke 50 to 75lbs of meat or sausage, I loved smoked sausage by the way, in fact I love most kind of sausages. I am currently hunting my butt off trying to get a nice 6 point bull elk so I can start making a nice fresh batch for this year, but not having much luck.....called in a 5 point to about ten yards yesterday, it was fun but not enough points :( Oh well enough blab....see ya in the forums

Welcome to SMF !!!
Quite a few sausage makers here and plenty of recipes in the wild game area, you should fit in quite well. Be sure and post pics if you drop your elk this season.

Hey Shawn, I'm In Penticton just across the rocks from you in the Sunny Okanagan. I used to live in Cranbrook in the 1970's and early 80's

Welcome to the SMF . You're in Elk country so You should have plenty of meat for the smoker.

Every fall I wish I was still back there for hunting season. I was there 6 years and every year I got a cow elk tag in the draw. I always got my bull though but back then you could shoot 4 points. Now its 6.

Two words................Flathead Country.
