sfprankster's (mis)adventures with Wild Caught Tuna 'n Nuts

  1. Been wanting some fish for some time and I got my grubby paws in some wild caught Pacific tuna yesterday. I have made this in a pan before, never on an open grill.

    Pistachio Crusted Tuna

    A fast marinade of evoo, garlic, green onions, a spritz of merlot vinegar, salt and black pepper to taste...

      

    ...chopped pistachios(not the red dyed ones [​IMG]  )...


    ...first side gets a quick grill over direct heat, then coated with chopped pistachios...

      

    Served with roasted zucchini and prosciutto wrapped figs...

    Looks tasty! The tuna have been getting slammed off the Oregon Coast.

    Couple of weeks ago, you could walk across the boats out in Monterey Bay.
