That's Smoked Eggs,
Makes a mean Deviled Egg and awsome pickled Eggs.....
Alot of people here already do eggs for salad deviled eggs around here. I haven't heard of pickled yet.
Great idea bbqfans,
One question though - are they any more/less easier to peel when finished? Sometimes my grubby little mitts have the darnedest time separating the shell from finished boiled egg!
Easiest way to peel a boiled egg is to plop it in ice water as soon as it's done boiling/smoking. Not sure what it is that the cold water does to them, but they are a million times easier to peel after they've been put in ice water. I used to have the same problem that you have.
Many thanks for the tip, Meatball.
Stan, thanks for the post. My hens seem to be working overtime these days. I've got eggs running out my ears.
My Mom always said, the more cracks in the Egg, the easier it is to peel. Therefore I roll the Egg until it is one BIG crack, sometimes it comes apart but that's when I get TOO rough. Seriously, it comes off easy like that.
Try pickling some, they are good.Cired Vinegar, sugar,a little Clove and heat to dissolve mixture. Set for 3-4 days and -GREAT
my high tech Egg smoking rack? I intend to offer these at a reduced price as I have so many...LMAO
WOW... smoked eggs...... so whats the temp and time on these suckers. I dont think my digital probe will be good to jam in the side of a shell lol.
