Sending Jerky to Iraq....

I just got done smoking around 15#s of beef jerky for some Troops over in Iraq!! It came out real nice... I had to use both of my smokers so I could get it all done in one smoke. I hang the strips of jerky by toothpicks so I can get more into the smoker.

It took about 5 hrs. to get it all done, but it came out real well! I think they will be pleasantly surprised when they get that package. Now, I need to smoke some for me! LOL.... Here is some pics. of the smokers doing their thing..

Nice! I sure they will be very pleased. I would also include a letter as well. Those guys love getting letters. They might even enjoy the pics of the process as well!

We sent a letter and some misc. items such as some Starburst candy, NFL Magazine and some other smaller items. Plus 25 packages of Hickory/BBQ flavored Jerky. We had that box filled to the Max. It will take about two weeks for them to receive the box.

We all know they DESERVE it!!!
