A guy at work gave me a couple Ghost Peppers today. I sliced them for the dehydrator and kept the seeds to plant next year. Is it ok that I still have some of the membrane attached? I have them wrapped in a paper towl to dry out then will place in an envelope till February to start in solo cups.

Hello charcoal junkie.  In my opinion you should be fine once the seeds are dry.  After drying, I store my seeds in the freezer.  Set the out a day or 2 before you plan to plant.  Good luck.  Keep Smokin!

cj, morning.....  When I save seeds, I leave the fruit whole and set on the counter to mature and dry naturally...   I did that with a Fresno Chili I bought in the grocery....   I think, not sure, the seed needs to be attached to the pepper through the maturing process to absorb all the nutrients from the flesh....  this is the process that happens, in nature, when the plant dies for the season....

The Fresno sat for months on the counter and shriveled and dried....  The seeds germinated well and grew nice plants....

I don't know if seeds that have gone through the dehydrator will germinate...   When storing, I wrap the seeds in paper towel to dry, then put the whole thing in a baggie for storage...
