Hello, my name is Dan & I'm a smoker. I've had this problem for almost 20 years now. It all started with a small smokey mountain style vertical smoker I used to smoke fish. Then I graduated to a gas powered vertical box smoker I snagged from Bass Pro that gave me years of great service before it finally gave in. Now days I'm hooked on my Weber Kettle for small cooks and I have a custom built vertical stainless charcoal smoker my dad's friends gave him when he retired. Since he never used it he passed it on to me. This addiction has led to my latest toy, a BTLE stick.

The BTLE is the reason I have joined this forum, I did a lot of research on stick burners and without wanting to spend a grand I found all the info on here about the proper modifications and assembly of the BTLE I figured I should at least join to say thanks on contributing to my habit! I do pork butts and ribs quite a bit but my hands down favorite is a good brisket, I like to keep it simple with just salt & pepper. Oh and I just did my first "Fatty" thanks to this forum!

Anyways, I'm a Florida boy born and raised. I've lived all over the state from Pensacola where I grew up, to Gainesville, to Stuart and now back home to Pensacola. Thanks for all the info you've already shared and I look forward to all the info we share in the future!

I haven't heard of "Q-view". From searching the forum it looks like that is just pictures of the cooking process?
