Seafair Seattle BBQ, QVIEW!! BUTTS!!

    Morning yall!

    Im having 25 or so of my closest friends over Sunday to watch the Seattle 2015 Seafair airshow, including the US Navy Blue Angels!! I couldnt decide how much to cook per person, so I stayed conservative with almost 1 pound each :)

    Also, the airshow schedule for those that are interested.

    The show also runs today, so the qview will include both pork butt, abd precision aviation.

    1.5 hours in.

    I am cooking a little hotter this time, floating between 250-280 to start.

    Applewood chips and hickory chunks

    2.5 Hours looking good, little bit of bark developing.

    I am going to rotate positions at the 4.5 hour mark, and put the therm in at that point.

    Cruisin right around 255.

    Lookin good so far, I seen a pic of the ships coming in would like to be there for your food and the Seafair.

    JUST probed one of the shoulders... 167IT after about 6 hours... Hoping this is a shorterish smoke!

    171 wrapped up, cooking between 270-285

    Looks great nice job - bet you got some other TBS from those Blue Angles Huh?? LOL

    Man I love the Pacific Northwest! I was stationed at Ft Lewis in the late 70'sand loved the area.
