Check out the wood I scored free of charge at a local Apple Orchard! And its already 6 to 8 months old! Double Score!
I am thinking i will use it to smoke my Beef Bacon. I also have Maple,Cedar,Walnut,Mulberry, and Oak that i have Access too.
Very nice score! Will look a lot better in your smoker! What you smoking first with it?
Might last till the end of summer if im lucky lol, I Grill on wood too so double duty!
Nice that should keep you in apple for awhile
Is it not Cedar they sell in planks and wood wraps for grilling?

I only ask because I have been told a number of times that Cedar is the exception to the no soft wood rule and was totally safe IF you can stand the taste.

That is exactly what im talking about Gary! They also have really thin sheets of cedar that you can wrap around fish and veggies for grilling, but its my experience with cedar planks, they always catch on fire when grilling fish on them anyway lol.
Nice score on the apple, I wouldn't use cedar for a smoking wood, you are thinking od cedar plank salmon, which is grilled
