With Rio looking for equipment I thought I'd re-post this

LEM 1.5 hp Grinder (I'd buy a Cabela's today tho)
Northern Tool 15 lb Vertical Stuffer
Cabela's Cuber/Tenderizer
Digital Kitchen Scales from Walmart
Mechanical 44 lb Scale from Gander Mountain
Digital Postal Scales w/ remote read out from Sam's Club
Stainless Rolling Table from Sam's Club
Meat Lugs freezer safe from LEM
I mix by hand (oh well)

Nice set up you got there brother

Nice setup Piney!
I just went to Home Depot and bought 4 oak hardwood dowels that are a close fit for each of my 4 plastic stuffing horns for the Northern Tool 15lb. stuffer (the 3 that came with it plus a 3/8" horn for sheep casing I got from Butcher Packer, originally fitting the F. Dick stuffer). I rubbed them several coats with NSF Sanitary Lube spray (food contact approved) and let dry; now have push sticks for each size horn to easily get out the remains in the horns after stuffing (and fry up as a test patty while washing up the stuffer!). Cost me about $13 plus change.

Might want to consider a meat mixer also.

Hey Piney,
What's up with 3 scales? 2 I get, ultra small/accurate for spices/seasonings, and a large one for meat portions. Which one was the 3rd one and which one do you like better? I'm looking to aquire a scale.

I got the 44 lb from Gander Mountain on sale and bought it but I had wanted the digital postal scales with the remote readout so I went ahead and got it. I usually have the meat in a meat lug when I weigh it so the remote readout is great I'll try to get a pic today so you can check it out and see the differences and why I like the postal scales more
