Here ya go. This was a 7.5lb bone in picnic. I injected some of Jeff's rub mixed with a little water, and then rubbed it down with Jeff's rub aslo. Got up Sat morning and it was 45 degrees and windy so I moved the smoker into the opening of the garage (perfect). I started it at 7am spritzing with apple juice every few hrs. 6 hrs later it reached 140, so I wrapped it and tossed into the oven so I could get some other things on the smoker (beans... abt's... ect..). It finally got up to temp about 6:30 pm and we were eatin at 7. mmm sure was some good stuff. Made up a batch of Jeff's Sauce and smoked it for 3 hrs, also a batch of Dutch's beans they got 3 hrs too. Oh and a nice batch of ABT's. Man those are good, I hadn't had any of those smoked before. WOW. The in-laws and the wife liked the food, so that was great. Oh and there was a fatty in there also. I jammed some cheddar cheese cubes into it. Using it for breakfast the rest of the week.
Enjoy the q-view

Hey thanks Seboke,
The stuffing is just sausage and cream cheese and minced garlic. great stuff. Yah, the sauce smoked sauce gives it a great smoke flavor.

That looks scrumptious. You made me hungry too! Thanks for sharing....points for you. How do you make your tater salad? It looks alot like mine.

It was one I got from here. This was the first time I tried it. Was very good and will be going it again. Let me see if I can find it. I'm at work and don't have it with me. I'll get back to you.

I am drooooooooling.................................

Can I get the jap's recipe?

Looks AWESOME!

Ah here it is. It was Smokin’ Joes recipe.

8 potatoes, cubed (half peeled or half with skin) (boiled until tender)
2 teaspoons salt
6 slices bacon, diced & crisp cooked
6 green onions, or chives
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
16 ounces sour cream
1/4 teaspoon black pepper (more to taste if you like)
1 cup Miracle Whip

Mix it all together top with chedar cheese and bake at 350 for 15-20 min

Jesandalb - the filling is just sausage fried up with some garlic and then mixed with softened cream cheese.

Hey Boone,
Great looking spread and outstanding post. I especially like the idea of smoking the sauce. It's funny how simple things like that really help the taste of the sauce and I just don't think to do it ..... you can bet I'll be doing it from now on though. Thanks again and points coming.
