I smoked a 6 lb. butt today. Since I haven't posted Q-view here yet, here it is!
All rubbed up and ready to go on the smoker
Goin' in at 230*. I went with hickory chunks in the smokebox.
Look closely, you can see the TBS!
3 hours in, lookin' good. I've been moppin' with apple juice.
After 6 hours. Internal temp has reached 160*. I'm takin' it out and foiling it now, then finish in the oven at 250*.
Dinnertime! It was in the oven, foiled for almost 3 hours to reach 200*. It rested for 45 minutes in the ice chest, then I pulled it and used some of Florida Jeff's finishing sauce. Smells like heaven!
