Salmon For Dinner Tonight!

    We smoked some Salmon this afternoon from the fall run. It turned out pretty good too. Heavy on the pepper, 4 hours in the smoker with a load of cherry wood and a bottle of 2005 Concord grape wine made from the grapes in our backyard vineyard... Yum!

    Congrats on a great smoke, and thanks for the Q View. It doesn't appear as if you brined the salmon, but I happen to like it in the natural state that you chose to prepare it. It's all good my friend.

    No brine but I think I talked my daughter into trying a brine batch the next time. But, I also need to stay away from too much salt at the same time.

    Oh Yeh! I love the salmon. Looks good to me. Is that a new smoker? Everything looks brand new, even no seasoning smoke?

    The smoker is a few years old. It hasn't had much use but we're working on that. [​IMG] I'm also a bit anal so we keep it in the garage to keep it clean and rust free.

    If there's time this weekend I'm thinking smoked pork loins could be a possibility.
