Rub pork, refrigerate 18 hrs, then inject & smoke OR Rub & inject, refrigerate 18 hrs then smoke??

  4. Yeah I would have to say rub, inject then rest will give your injection more time to be absorbed.

    You will probably have to rub it again before you put in on the smoker because some of your injection will come out and the package will have all kinds of juices which can wash off some of the rub. No big deal just sprinkle a little more rub on right before it hits the smoker and you will be set.

    I would have to agree with all who commented so far, and RB added the first thing that came to my mind.

    Only thing I can add is be sure to cool your injection juice before you inject it, if you don't inject it right before you put it in the smoker.
