sdesmond, alot of people on this forum seem to like the Royal Oak briqs better cuz they feel they have less additives than Kingsford. I personally prefer Kingsford, but it's up to you. Seem to make less ash than Kingsford do, but I don't know if they get as hot. Try them out, see if you like them.
 
i use RO here because it is $8 bag for 18lbs versus kingsford that is $12 for a smaller bag..

i like the flavor of RO better but that is just me
 
I like them. Milder than Kingsford, but don't burn as hot. So, RO is cheaper but you use more. Seemed like a wash in that regard.

They're not too easy to find here, plus I get cheap Kingsford at Sams, so I still use Kingsford.
