Smoking a round roast with oak
 

Cook Time:

3hrs

1hr wrapped in foil in a cooler

RUB:
1/2 cup sea salt
1/2 fresh black pepper
1/4 paprika
3 Tblsp chili powder
2 Tblsp cayenne
2 Tblsp garlic powder
1 Tblsp cumin
1 Tblsp dried oregano
1 Tblsp dried thyme
1 Tblsp ground ginger

Roast with rub


Fresh on the grill


Finished product. flipped it 1.5hrs into the cook


Sliced and ready to eat


 
 
I did it at 275
Do you like all your meat mid-well to well done ?  Makes no difference to me of course.   Just checking because some people think you have to cook roasts like this similar to how you'd do a brisket.   They don't know that it's deliciously awesome when smoked to mid rare or medium.

I like mine on the well done side too. Just a little pink. Yours looks great to me.
