So I am looking to build a whole hog rotisserie out of an old oil furnace drum. I have a nice motor that will have enough torque to spin a hog but it spins at 1750 rpm. I have found these Zero max variable speed drives on ebay, they are fully adjustable but only rated to 12 foot lbs of torque. My question is will that be enough to turn a pig? And does anyone have experience with these?
