I have been wanting to try smoking meat for awhile.I just received a Brinkman smoker grill from my Wife's parents. I have a nice pork shoulder that I am going to smoke this weekend with Kingsford Hickory charcoal. I also have Hickory chips but not sure that I will need them or not. Any advice would be appreciated

I'm not familiar with your smoker so I can't help you with your question.
