Happy New Years,

Picked up my first smoker (pellet grill) in February 2015.  Immediately began to recognize that my first 40 years of life were deprived of something wonderful.  I hadn't done enough research, and wound up taking our grill back due to a variety of reasons.  Decided to order a Rec Tec grill, and have had a great experience with it thus far.

We live in El Dorado Hills, CA.  I lived in NC and FL for years, in communities that had numerous fantastic BBQ options.  I'm not knocking anyone around here, but the BBQ that we've been pointed towards locally just isn't the same.  Getting in to the smoking arena, I see that there is way more diversity than I ever expected when it comes to rubs, sauces, cooking techniques, etc..  We have had some fantastic successes, and I'm proud to say that even some self perceived failures were still edible learning experiences.

Looking forward to learning a lot in 2016,

Ed
