I'm from N.E. Wisconsin I've used a Brinkman electric smoker in the past it turned out good tasting food but I was not satisfied with the level of heat control and am now in the process of building my own smoker from a old refrigerator and electric range controls along with home built add ons. I can pick and choose the  techniques I like that other members are using along with a little twist of my own and incorporate them in my own project. I've done fish, turkey, and jerky, but after checking out the website there is a whole new unexplored world out there and a immense source of knowledge of how other hobbyists are smoking their items which inspire me to try things new to me.

Welcome to the site from SC, Ronnie. I hope you enjoy it here. There are lots of great folks who are always ready to share their ideas and tips. All you have to do is ask.

Good luck and keep on smokin', Joe
