Ribs question

    I have a UDS and i can only put 2 racks of spares on the top rack i was thinking about adding another rack right below the top one just so i can put 2 more racks of ribs on it. So a total of 4 for a smoke. I was wondering if by doing this the top ribs dripping on the bottom ones would that make the rub come off the bottom ones from the drippings? I would just like to have more stuff on the smoker because i tend to do 2 pork shoulders and a rack of ribs on the top usually but if i can add more ribs i would love that. Thanks guys.
  2. Have you tried a rib rack? I'd go ahead and add a second rack for butts but you could possibly make more ribs with a rib rack.

    ya i have one but its only like 10 inches wide so the ribs tend to fall over lol. Because when i do spares i dont trim them. So there tall and just fall over. But maybe ill figure something out.
  4. Steven Raichlen makes a BIG rib rack that solves that problem.  Check it out.
  5. I have 5 racks in my UDS I have had ribs on top of ribs with no issues. I do have a dome top.

    Thanks guys for the reply im going to check out the rib racks and make a decision. Right now im leaning towards just making another rack.
