As I posted in Roll Call, I've learned a lot from lurking here the past couple weeks and I ended up making an AWESOME first rack of ribs today.

GOSM. Spare Ribs with KC style rib rub and my own BBQ Sauce concoction.

Used 3:2:1 after reading about it extensively on here.

My wife generally dislikes ribs, but loved these.

A little over 2 hours in:

Taking out of foil:

About to remove the final product, I sauced only half of it because that's the way my wife likes her ribs, and I wanted to try without sauce:

Pretty good smoke ring (a little blurry):

Thanks for checking these out!

Thanks for sharing the breaking in of your GOSM. Those are some mighty fine looking ribs for your first go at it.

have to be awarded for your first smoke and a bang up job that you did too.

Nice looking ribs there shlongstar. In your first pic of your nekid ribs it looks like the membrane is still attached. Just wondering if you left the membrane intact or if you removed it before applying your rub.

Just courious-and before you think ya did it wrong by not removing it-no worries- it's a personal preference thing.

Brand new smokers are sure enough pretty, but them ribs really are a sight to behold! Nice job!

For a first time smoke with all the new looking equipment, your ribs came out looking mighty fine. Next time, load the racks up and give us a call and tell us when to be there! :)

Thanks for all the positive comments, everybody! It was a LOT of fun... look forward to my next session :) I'll definitely fill up the racks next time. Since it was my first smoke, i didn't wanna invite people over and have the ribs turn out nasty...

Regarding the membrane, I did remove it. I just took the pic before I got my hands all messy. Wouldn't want to chew on that stuff!
