Yesterday I smoked 3 racks of spares to bring to work tomorrow for a pot luck luncheon. I did St Louis style and only used Jeffs Rub on them. After they cooled, I cut into individual ribs and thought I would rewarm them in a crockpot for lunch. Has anyone used a crockpot for rewarming ribs before? Maybe I should zap em in the microwave first and then just try to keep them warm in the crockpot? I will be taking them out of the fridge around 6:00 to head off to work and will be eating lunch around 11:30 or so. Also, should I splash with some bbq sauce so they won't dry out?

Thanks for any info!

You might consider this....Wrap all of them in foil..reheat in your oven before leaving for work...Use the Crock pot to just keep them warm...They should still be nice and warm for lunch....I suggest do not use a microwave...It tends to toughen cooked meats sometimes...HTH

Yea, I agree that is what I have done. Wrap in foil with a little bit of apple juice, place in your oven 350 for half hour and they are warm and not dry. Good luck.

Would a corningware dish work just as well? Or should it definatel be foil? Do you place the foil in the crockpot or just the ribs?
