The Yoder was feeling lonely, been doing a lot of cold smoking on the MES lately, So decided to reverse sear some of the Brats we stuffed a while ago!

Running the Yoder @ 165 with Corn Cob pellets in the  tube, Put the brats on frozen till I could separate them then pouring the cob smoke to then till they get to 140 IT.

Then off the grill and kick the temp up to 550 for a sear and final cook to 165 IT.

My first time using Corn Cob pellets. Thanks Pops6927  for the Idea!!

2 hrs into this process with the smoke only on for 45 min. they are taking on some nice color!

By just a touch they are probably 115 IT. let them go another 20 or so then I will check the IT official.

Here they are all cooked up ready to  go in the house.

Sorry bout the dark pics all I had!

In the house on a plate!!

Was to hungry to do a money shot but let me tell ya all these were most tasty!! The Corn Cob had a very mellow flavor! Yet a strong smokie goodness!!! I am glad that the corn cob pellets come in a 40# bag for $10 will definately use these again!! IMHO cobs would be great on any cheese or fish! Once again Pops! Thanks for the info!!

Keep Smokin!!!

That is some fine looking sausage. Glad to hear you like the cob. Did you get it at Tractor supply or the likes?

Happy smoken.

Yes I got them at Tractor Suply or TSC as they are known now. Here is the link to Pops thread:http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/t/149282/bestcob-corn-cob-pellets-for-amnps
I did take the SKU number with me and found that I needed it for them to know what I was talking about. These pellets are very dusty, so probably 1/4 of the bag is dust.

Nice, we have TSC right up the road

I got a bag from TSC a while back and made tennis ball sized chuncks by wetting and just squeezing most of the water out. Let 'em dry and just add to the charcoal or stick smoker as needed. Great flavor.
