With the epic Tuna fishing on the left coast this year, I decided it's time to start smoking, fish that is.

I picked up a brand new in the box Masterbuilt Pro Duel-Fuel Smoker from CL for a decent price. I read some of the reviews here and see that there are mods suggested to make it better. Anything we buy needs to be improved on, right? Cars, computers, phones and smokers. I have searched but cannot find a specific discussion on the mods for this smoker. Maybe I was just too tired when I searched for it, picked it up on the way home from fishing all day in San Diego.

Anyway, any leads in that direction and reading to start with would be greatly appreciated...

Ray welcome to SMF Thanks for your service. Try the search feature up top, or just wait I am sure someone will be able to help you. Check the recipe section for fish, I just smoked some Tuna Belly.

Welcome Raimond.  Thank you for your service!

I'm reading between the lines and am guessing you're wanting to smoke fish for preservation not eating immediately.  There are definitely lots of recipes and techniques in the fish section.

Be sure to post pics not only of your smokes, but your catches too.  There's something about the smile on a fisherman's face as he/she is holding their catch that is just magic.

Have fun!

Thanks everyone, been a tough week here. Got the smoker assembled today and it is curing/cleaning right now. Going to the store to get something to smoke for dinner. I signed up for, and read, the 5 part lessons from Jeff.

Will post some pics and if I can some catching videos...
