just got a new membership to restauraunt depot and walked it today,  i was very happy walking around like a kid in a candy store!  The briskets averaged 18lb and were about $2 per pound bbribs were 10 lb packs and $3 per lb, pork shoulders, beef clods, seafood, sausages you name it it was there many tools, trays and knick knacks  i cant wait for the weekend

what do you guys think about the quality of the meat say compared to Costco or winn dixie?

Congrats on the membership. Sounds like there are some great deals, and still need to visit one. Since you need a Tax ID to join, I wonder if you can obtain a Tax ID, and never claim income on it (cause I wanna use it to get into the Rest. Depot!).

Will they issue you a one day pass only once, or can a guy go in every month or so and get the one day pass each time.

I ask since I have a RD right here in town and would like to go. I am also courious about the tax id number if anyone knows any details.

Thanks

Tom

easily as good as Sams, or Costco,  I dont have Winn Dixies up north.   The ribs are usually meaty, and inexpensive in the 3 packs,  most importantly they are not the "enhanced" crap alot of places sell.

hey warthog   you sure thats enough to get you through the long weekend?

I mean come on thats only 15 lbs a day!

Hope I can stretch it out over the loooong weekend.

Yes I to have been a member at Restuarant Depot for quite sometime now. They do have some good deals but you can also find good deals at Sam's and B J's to. I kinda play all of them against each other when I'm shopping for a big smoke or just stocking up. I'm kinda lucky for they are all pretty close to me and I can check out the pricing from time to time.

there used to be some longer running threads on RD,  but I cant find them.

Made a nice trip last night

-3-pack of BB ribs for tomorrows competition.  $3.24/lb.

-Oven mitts(smoker mitts)  $3.33/ea. - got 2

- Leons natural casing polish sausage for ABT's   $13 for about 5#

- RO lump about $8/ea. for 17.6 lb bags - got 2

- also got some spices, sriracha, and L & P

good visit.

In order to shop at RD, you need to be able to show a Business License or a Tax ID; but if you are a member of KCBS, they will issue you a. 1 day pass.

Gonna have to talk to the tax man and see if since I claim income from side work that I do, if maybe I already have a tax id number. This is something I know nothing about, but will check into it. I really dont want to do anything that is going to cost me more then I will save shopping there. We'll see what plays out next week.

Thank You Grampyskids

I'm thinking about buying a meat slicer, commercial prep table and maybe some other things. Would any of you RD members like to help a fellow out and let me use your account? I saw a great ss table I want for sure. probably a few other things too depending on prices

Hey! Does. RD still honor kcbs members? More specifically central NJ. Ive seen that its was on then off then on. I'd love to go there, just wanna be sure. thanks
