I cant take full credit for this. this recipie is based alot on Slap yo daddys Rib rub highly modified. here is the recipie and the modifications we have made to suit our flavors. Im cooking some now Ill post pics as time goes on. they just went onto the grill
Slap yo daddy all purpose rub
4 tbsp Kosher Salt
2 tbsp White granulated sugar
2 tbsp Brown sugar
2 tbsp California Mild Chili Powder
2 tbsp Paprika
1 tbsp Ground Cumin
1 tbsp Granulated Garlic
1 tbsp Black pepper
½ TSP Cayenne pepper (use sparingly or not at all!)
our modifications
4 tbsp Kosher Salt
2 tbsp White granulated sugar
6 tbsp Brown sugar
2 tbsp California Mild Chili Powder
2 tbsp Paprika
1 tbsp Ground Cumin
1 tbsp Granulated Garlic
1 tbsp lawrys seasoning salt.
2 tbsb Dried onions
1 tbsp Black pepper
½ TSP Cayenne pepper
Trim and rub ribs with spicy brown mustard, then rub on the dry rub, lightly coat in brown sugar,
Smoker is kept at 225-240 the entire time
3 hours smoke (hickory chunks, Apple chipps added each 45 mins)
Cover in honey, and brown sugar fill line bottom of foil with apple juice
2 hours foiil
30min - 1 hour back on the grill to cure.
20 mins to cool and prep other food.
Serve up nicely.
