I converted an old fridge to a smoker this past couple of weekends. I purchased an afterburner from gassmoker.com. I'll bet I invested about 40+ hours into this thing. It sure was fun to do though. I'm not the most handy guy when it comes to metal working. I found a sheetmetal shop locally that cut and formed the metal I needed to complete this project. Here a some photos I took of my refer smoker.

Is the interior stainless steel? Can you get the temp low enough to cold smoke in it too? Terry

I'm impressed with the end result. Looks as if you're goona have some fun smokin' it up. On you last sentence you said "Here a some photos I took of my refer smoker". Did you mean refridge or reefer? Don't matter, it's all smoke!

Thanks to everyone for your comments. I'm looking to do a brisket, a pork butt and some ribs. I'll probable through in some potatos, corn on the cob and beans when it's time. I'm having my three kids over on Sunday to watch the Seahawks season opener and eat some bbq. I'm really looking forward to it. I'll probably start the brisket tomorrow afternoon sometime and then add the butt early in the morning. Then in the late am I'll add the ribs. I feel like a kid at chistmas. I'll try to take some photos of the finished products.

I hope the seahawks loss wont effect your smoke and day in a negative way...
That smoker is incredible!
