Hi everyone, my name is Keith, and I'm a fledgling griller. Right now I'm using 3 grills, 1 propane, and 2 charcoals. Just this past July 4th, I tried smoking on the propane, and 1 of the kettle grills (the ribs wouldn't fit on just 1). I did a pretty decent job with foil wrapped apple wood chips, and small tray of water. I rubbed the ribs KC style, and cooked them for about 5 hours. Well, they ended up being the star of the holiday food!
Now, I want to get me a REAL smoker so I can begin my journey to becoming a pit master! Even though I live in Yonkers, New York, my family roots are in Wilson, North Carolina so I have a taste for chopped bbq, and ALL THINGS smoked!
I'm hoping my research here will lead me down the road to bbq bliss!
Let the smoking begin!
Keith
