Looking good! Should be done by now.

The butt looks good but my only question is why the foil pan or did you replace the foil with the pans.

Technical reasons of course, I ran out of foil! We had a boat load of those pans left over from the family reunion, they just happen to fit nicely in my smoker. Those cam from Sams, I think 30 pans in a bag for around $14. The meat is still holding at aound 196 degrees.

Lookin good Farmer...I just bought those same size pans (about $8.50 for 30) at Sam's club for the same use. Looks like they're workin pretty good for ya. Let me know what ya think???? Can't wait for the final pics!!!!!

Lookin' GOOD, Chad! The clothes pins to hold the pan rims together is good idea, too...especially when you're in a 'pinch'---hah-hah!

I prefer to use the pans myself. I had a leakage issue the last time I used just double-layer foil for spares (bones poked through). I've never been disappointed using pans.

I have a bbq supplies order waiting for me to pickup...I have 3 large (12" x 18") aluminum baking pans, which I'll use to replace the foil pans, and still use foil for tenting the meat. A bit spendy @ $16.00 each, but I won't have to worry about the pan collapsing when I'm handling them without the smoker rack or a tray to support them.

Cleanup of the pans isn't that difficult either, sometimes a half hour of soaking and they wipe pretty clean.

Good smoke Chad, and creative thinking when you're under the gun!

Eric

The pork turned out great. Heres what I did. After shredding, I added in some pan drippings, some of my bbq sauce and a healthy dose of mustard, the twang came to it... nothing to complain about here. Bout time to go have a sandwich I do believe!
