In SoFlaQuer finishing sauce recipe he uses cider vinegar, the only

Just so you know, cider venegar = apple cider vinegar

Never seen any other type of cider vinegar before, but when people say cider vinegar, they mean apple.

I use 4 or 5 fresh squeezed lemons instead of vinegar improves the taste 10 fold IMHO. Adding a Lime works well too. Add a half of an orange is real good for poultry. A little pineapple juice is real good with pork.

Get creative, experiment you'll be surprised!

In a pinch you can use bottled Italian dressing for a base. If you have nothing else around use Italain dressing with a bit of bottled BBQ sauce to taste it works!

Italian Dressing is a great lifesaver. On more than one occasion I've baked chicken in a pool of it and it's always come out great.

Stuffed my yardbirds with apples, oranges, and onions (small quantities) once, just to try. Did the DJD poultry rub and spritzed with AJ. Laura and friends loved it. Like DJD stated, try it....get creative. To me, that's what smoking/cooking is. If it does'nt work, you have great sandwich spread!

Before you buy it, READ THE LABEL!! Make sure that it reads apple cider vinegar. Some of the "cheaper" priced stuff is actually "apple cider" flavored vinegar and will say so on the label. There is a big difference in the quality and the taste.
