Hi all,

Would it make a difference if I put the fire box door on the front instead of the side because I'm putting a glass door on it so it will make it easier to see what's going on. I still plan on putting the vents on the side to keep the air flowing straight through. Cheers.

    Adam.

Consider putting a door on top in addition to the one on front. Both my smokers have top doors and front doors. Much easier to load wood and move wood around with the fire poker from the top your not bending over all the time. The front door can be used to pull out the ash tray for emptying.

I'm making a separate door for the ash tray on the side. The combustion stove I'm using the doors off has a separate door for that. I may have to make a new door if the vents aren't the right size.
