OK... so I have had it happen 3x now. I will be using the my 22.5 WSM and have the upper rack loaded. Then the upper rack will get shifted to one side or the other as far as it goes - usually from moving a pice of meat or something. Then the side with the most gap will try to flip the rack and dump everything onto the lower rack. Basically it's like the little metal tabs are just a tad to shor that the upper rack sits on.
I am thinking I might buy some longer 1/4-20 bolts and stack 2 washers between the body of the smoker and the metal rods with the tabs on them. I figure that should push the top tabs in approx. 1/8 of an inch or so. I don't think I need much, because if the rack is empty it wont try to flip, but if it has weight it will just barely push past the tab.
Anybody else run into this?
