Hey all, putting on a PR today that was not at all planned.... I'll explain ! So was kind of a busy week, my wife (bless her heart) was gonna put on a pot roast Wed. for a quick dinner after our never ending re landscaping of the yard ! By the way, I'am now dreaming of re landscaping & picking trenches in the yard for the metal edging ! Anyway, she come to me Wed. morning after the roast is thawed & said.... " I need to talk to ya !" She then explained she accidentally pulled out the PR instead of the pot roast..... I said, Well... We were wondering what to toss on the smoker this weekend, so now I guess we know what's going on huh ?

Anyway, using Bears method cause every time he posts a PR smoke I can't quit drooling ! So Bear, hope I do ya proud buddy.... Here's the start before the prep.....

Thanks for lookin all !

So rubbed down with Lea & Perrin's Bold Sauce as I cannot find the Thick Sauce anywhere, so I'am not sure if they just changed the name or not.... The Bold tastes bout the same to me so I'am not sure ! :dunno

Then after rubbing down with LP Bold Sauce, mixed up a small batch of black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder & a little sea salt as per Bears recipe ! With the help of my kiddos of coarse, then wrapped & in the fridge for a while !

Yum!!! Love me some smoked PR! Lookin forward to watchin this one Justin!

:popcorn

Looking good! Great to get the little pit masters helping! Wish I had a prime rib hanging out in the freezer so I could accidentally have to cook one!'

Thanks Case for dropping a line.... My kids love anything to do with the smoker ! Yeah, the wife though I'd be mad ! Well we usually save them for special occasions but what the hell huh ? So I have to smoke & eat PR today..... Things could be worse !

BTW, know all too well the pullin weeds exercise..... Good grief I'am gonna be so glad when we get this yard all done ! Ya start out thinkin this won't be bad, then get to the .... What the hell did I start this for mode !! Is there a method to the madness ? Please tell me it's worthwhile ! LOL

Ha yard work, NEVER, gets done!!! Our front yard that we tore out two years ago finally is where we want it. But still requires weeding!

The back yard, yeah that's next on the list... Then when that's done, it'll be time to
Start something else new.. And of course there's the weeds, pruning, trimming...

By the way what temp ya taking that chunk of meat too? I like mine right around 125-130!
