They were cheap, I never had them before.

    Fired up 007.

    Ribs on

    Flipped bout 30 mins in

    Nice temps

    Done.

I got no pull back. Served with left over mac n cheese.

Found out our dog loves ribs. They were not good. Texture was wrong. Maybe I don't like wet seasoned ribs?

Cooked the same as I always do but I dry rub. The mac n cheese was good thou.

Water, Vinegar, Phosphate, Salt, I imagine they were pretty close to Mushy. I guess for folks with a gas grill and no SMF membership, they would be ok. Grill and drench in Bullseye then post on Instagram what a great Chef you are!...[IMG]...JJ

  3. I've had a similar experience.  Better half picked up Tony Roma's (whoever he is?) famous ribs from Aldi's one day.  The dog wouldn't even eat them.  I can't even describe the taste.  It was a mix of plastic and bland tomato sauce.  Terrible...

The good news though is that mac-n-cheese is still an option!

  4. Sounds like some folks I know!  I'm not a food snob by any measurement, but I've been getting better at taking a small bite and then claiming I'm full when I eat at some of my friend's places.

Yup. Might have been great somehow. Not the way I cook. Learned my lesson.

Adam, Sorry to hear.  I am not sure who actually buys and enjoy's those ribs, I see them at the grocery store all the time.

Guessing people who toss them in the oven in a pan of store bought BBQ sauce and bakes them until the meat is floating and the bones are on the bottom of the pan.

Next time try smoking that Mac & Cheese!!!!

    Smoke ON!

    Thanks for the Confirmation, Adam!!

I see something like that in the Giant flyer all the time, and I always tell Mrs Bear not to go grabbing them.

I came close one time, but now I know to definitely stay away.

I got a pack of their "Petite Ribs" one time-----That will never happen again either!!

  14. I have never bought preseasoned ribs and now I'm glad I never did.
Adam I'm sure that was a big disappointment. Thanks for the heads ups.

  15. They were probably pre boiled to get that "amazingly tender and juicy" awesomeness.

Sorry they didn't work out for you but hey at least the mac was good.
