....at least that's what I call it. It has no name, as far as I know. Got this great recipe from a friend who served it to us at a BBQ this past summer. Thought I would try it for a pot luck dinner we're going to at the club house on Wednesday:
1 pkg. Ore-Ida frozen chunk hash browns
1 8oz. container sour cream
1 can Cream of Chicken soup
2 Cups shredded cheddar cheese
Dash of garlic
Topping: (mix together)
2 cups crushed corn flakes
1 stick butter, melted
Combine the hash browns, sour cream, chicken soup, cheese and garlic; spread in pan.
Spread topping over potato mixture.
Bake at 350 degrees F. for 2 1/2 hours.
Note:
I'm going to add diced onions and a little more garlic powder.
I'm also going to bake it for only 2 hours, as I thought they were kind of dry when we had them at my friend's. However, the taste is great and it is an easy recipe.
I'll let you know if I get any reviews from the folks at the club house.
