Possible rf build. How big?

Been kicking around the idea of building a rf smoke as most of you know it's addicting. I called the local metal shop to get a quote on a piece of rolled steel or if they have a chuck out back. They have a decent size chunk and I don't need all of it. It's 30in diameter. I was thinking of making a patio style smoker so around 36-48in long. Is a 30in to big for those long of smokers? And also been looking for some plans if anyone has some. Would like some detail on the holes between cc and FB and the opening on the other end.. Hope to hear some suggestions.

30 inch is a good diameter to work with.
