    It's steak night.

Fired up the vortex in the kettle with leftover Trader Joe's from the last cook and added fresh Humphreys lump.

    Seasoned the steaks with this.

Look at this beautiful steak. Preseasoned.

On the 22.5 kettle. Vortex offset

Threw them over the vortex for a quick sear when bout half done. Didn't take but 20 mins.

It was a 2 plate dinner.

Just done perfect. I have trouble getting steaks this way some. The vortex fixed that problem.

I cleaned both plates. Man I am full.

  13. Steaks look good.

Did you get flooded out today? I heard it was pretty wet over that way.

    Ha! lol

Adam needs to make a couple mods for that so I'll give him a pass. ;) ... Although the IR does a hell of a job on a steak up in the swivel, it's just a slower sear with great result.  When he gets a door on and puts a grate about an inch down below the cylinder then watch out!

    Adam that looks killer brother!

That is some PRIME Steak. Nice marbling and funny how you too add the $.99 Kraft Mac & Cheese. I just made Kraft as a side for perfect pink Pork Tenders the other night. LOVE that stuff for a quick side. Kraft was one of the first foods I learned to cook as a young boy.

The Rain was fun. I learned there are some Low spots that need some leveling and stone on my 300' long dirt drive...JJ

  17. Glad to hear you survived ok. Any crop damage?
