I had never smoked these, saw a pack at Sam's Club and asked myself "Why Not?" Fired up the old side firebox smoker and Rec Tec and away we went! (the side firebox smoker did not quite work, so I transferred them over to the Rec Tec).

Brushed them with some honey, and rubbed with a mixture of my own making, smoked them, took photos, and ate them (the ribs, not the photos!)

Not bad at all!!!

Gotta tell ya, mixing those two open season rubs really work well on pork!!  I throw in a little Famous Dave's Rib Rub when I do ribs.

They turned out pretty good.  I think I need to cook them just a tad bit longer next time, though.

They look very good.

I cook them to toothpick tender.

Those CSR's look mighty tasty from here!  I've never tried that Open Season rub...but sounds like something I'll have to find and try.

Nicely done!

They are a Cabella's brand rub.  Every time I get to Lubbock or Ft Worth I try and pick some up.
