I didn't see Sam's prices on cases, but I just bought a 3-pack of back ribs for $3.29/lb. Nothing to write home about, but still cheaper than the local grocery stores ($4/lb.) this week.
I visited Food Lion today and they had a ton of great looking loins with the meat manager discount stickers cause today was last day on date and they still wanted $2.29 lb
I don't know what is up with NE Florida, but pork prices suck. I'm buying up chickens right now at $0.59 lb so I have something to smoke as a back up.
Amazing when you can pick up an 8 pound piece of loin for 12 bucks. I got mine on Sunday and put it in the fridge to cure for CB on Wednesday.
You gotta be talkin spares. If I catch BBs at 1.48 a pound I'm buyin a new freezer.
I got some of those on Sunday and smoked them up. They were excellent. By the way... the Sams in West Knoxville will sell the roto chickens uncooked for the same price as the cooked ones without having to buy a case. I buy 4 at a time there. Thought you might want to give them a try.
