I would say both. I like to smoke them with alittle apple or any fruit wood. But then I like the regular grill over direct heat set on low to medium. The family likes then hot off of something they just like my cooking. So to answer your question is hot off of one of the grills.

^^^^^What he said^^^^^........ really just depends on the time you have and the results you want. If you want a sweet smoky flavor and tender juicy chops go with some fruit wood and the smoker at 200 - 220. If you don't want to take that long grill em. In that case I usually use a pork rub that doesn't have sugar in it and grill away. Sometimes, when grilling or smoking, I'll sauce em with the Sweet BBQ/Wild Turkey combo shortly before they're ready to come off. You didn't say how thick the cuts were but regardless don't overcook em and they'll be great.

since you siad fillet--
im assuming you had it sliced--[boneless porkchops]

I like them grilled with Cavender's Greek Seasoning on them...

Well I do them smoked, either stuffed or left whole and use my Mahogany glaze on it. There's a couple of recipes stuck around here that I have posted.
