Pork Butts and Moink Balls

    Got a late start today, but we are rolling now.  Saw a thread about "moink" balls so I had to try.  (2) butts on for about 4 hours now.

    The Moink balls are just frozed meat balls wrapped in bacon.  I used my rub and a jalapeno jelly glaze.  pics to follow[​IMG]

    Here is the glaze I used.  I didn't notice it said mild till after they were complete.  I still had a hot, sweet taste. I would prefer more heat. There is always next time![​IMG]

    Burk, nice pics. I really like Moink balls, I stick cheddar cheese cubes inside a sausage ball and wrap in bacon, they are about the size of a golf ball.

    Your Moinks look really good and the butts are coming along nicely. I like your SFB door with the flames.

    Burk, If you like Moinks then you should try Hoinks. This is a piece of bacon wrapped around a beef hotdog and then deep fried.

    I agree with the Rd king and you need some cheese inside the balls. I know that means that you can't use pre-made meatballs but I think that the flavor would be much better with the cheese inside.

    I'm converted! Next batch I promise. BTW the boss is whipping up some real meatballs for a party next Friday, I think I will hijack some. lol

    Great looking smoke...and those moinks look real tasty!  Over the long weekend next weekend I'm going to have to give these a try.

    Looks great and man the thought of that pepper jelly is making my mouth water. Years ago I made a hot pepper jelly and it was fantastic
