I have let one sit in injection for around 12 hours, and didnt receive any negative comments concerning it.
I have also injected one right before putting it on and didnt get any negative comments either.
Really the thing that you need to look at is how strong is the injection and how strong do you want the meat to taste wtih injection. Could run into an issue where you taste only injection and no smoke flavor.
