Getting together with mine and my brothers family plus my dad next weekend. We will be at our family place in NY. But With work bowling and meetings I don't have time to get it ready any other time. It's 8 pounds and I hope it's not to soon.

. It's been injected with creole butter and sweet baby rays then covered with a mixture of sweet and smokey applewood rub. Then wrapped it n foil and put in the fridge. I will pack it in a cooler with ice for the three hour ride to my place in NY

Do you think it was to soon esp with the injections I did or I'm hopping it will be the best with the time it has to sit.

Uhm...I'm thinking you jumped the gun by about 4 days or so on the injection and rub. You're talking about 5-6 days until you cook it. I'd smoke it after work in the next day or 2 for 5-6 hours @ 225* (4hrs would be better than no smoke), pop it into the oven @ 210* and you could walk away for 18 hours before it gets to finished temp. Then, rest and chill after work the following evening and plan a reheat @ 250* or so next weekend, then pull it. Just don't store in the fridge more than 5 days after cooking before reheating.
