Pork Butt done. Now what?

    Hey guys,

    My Boston butt is done sooner than I planned for. How do I keep this thing fresh for the next 5 hrs?

    Glad to have you aboard.

    Since this is your first post would you swing by Roll Call & introduce yourself so we can all give you a proper welcome.

    As for your butt.

    Wrap it in double foil. Then wrap it in towels or a blanket & put it in a dry cooler. It will stay hot for 5 or 6 hours.

    Al has you covered,another good idea is keep a few old pillows to take up the extra space in your cooler it's free insulation.

    I got a cooler sized styrofoam box from my vet. He gets cold Meds in the box and usually throws them away. This styrofoam box is my dedicated holding box and was free.

  5. Whole Foods is another place to get the styrofoam containers for free. Just ask the person in the fish department. If they don't have any, ask them to save one(or more).
