Welcome to the SMF family!  You should head over to Roll Call and introduce yourself so we can welcome you properly.

Your cook times will not change significantly with 2.  I often smoke 2 butts and a packer brisket all together without any appreciable change in smoke times.  Just do your normal thang!

Welcome to SMF glad you joined us. As was said the times will be pretty close to the same doing two as doing one. Most of us use a thermometer to check the temps to know when it's done. No two pieces of meat will cook the same and won't finish at the same time either

Last weekend I smoked 3-9# butts. They all finished smoking at different times. Between the three it was about 1 1/2 hours different. Just check the temps. The last one took about 15 hours at 240 degrees on my UDS

I am averaging 80 minutes a pound on my stick burner.your results may differ.

I don't see any harm in Halfing the Butts
