I'm living in Grenada at the moment, but I'm moving back to Michigan soon. [Yea, yea, yea, I know what you're thinking. Well, believe it or not, the island charm eventually wears off. Especially after a couple kids.]

I'm a scientist in my day job, but I fish and hunt all I can. Should be a good combo to get good at smoking, no? The reality of having a family dictates a simple approach, so I got an MES 30, gen 1 (controls on top/back, no window). And an AMNPS 5x8, and a Maverick 732, based on reviews and excellent email exchanges with Rhonda and Todd at A-Maze-N. Someday I'll get a Smokinator for my Weber and see how I like the coal smoke vs. electric. But for now, it's electric.

Finally a note to everyone who contributes here. I frequent quite a few message boards. I am struck at how articulate, respectful, and helpful this forum is. Seriously, nice job. I aim to contribute.
