well after a whole month on SMF'S im already sick of my brinkman,lol. not really. but here she is in the works. new UDS.

got a drum with old gas in it. burned it out with a full to the brim load of firewood. i heat with wood inside home and shop and have a semi load of it so that was easy.

1. drum. free.

2. one weber lid. free.
3. 2 weber grates free.
4. ss bolts. buddie is getting them tomorrow for me where he works. free.
5. already had a 2' x8' sheet of lath. expanded sheet metal. free. i am a plasterer.
6. wheels from my sons soap box with a threaded rod axle. well free since i had already got them 3 years ago. but i did buy them back then.
7. same buddie thats getting me the ss bolts snached me 3 cans of catipiller muffler flat 1000 degree muffler paint. free. oops. lol no he dont work for CAT lol.

looks like my uds will not cost much. since i just built a logsplitter recently i have all kinds of steel parts and pieces laying in a crate. so vents and springs ect... already have that in my shop. its going to be cooking a brisket this sat i hope.

one junk grill in dumpser. = rub rack. bolted and painted.
 
oh man. i have another gas grill junker here thats gonna donate two tables on either side tomorrow. hope to get them on and the wheels tomorrow. need brisket lol. last one is gone.

wow! cool. i have 4 of these total same size. there real. and this will be top. and ill put one on each side as well of lid. antler handles. sweet!



got them on. three real deer fork horn handles.
 
plan on another stack to be added to this. the vent is cleaned abd back on. but not sure it will be enough. this is gonna be a backwoods game smoker. love these antler handles.



as youll see. i have no intentions of this being ugly. lmao.

were supposed to take it out to sand blast the inside tomorrow. i got friends with tools.

and well drink a few beers and git-r-dun! were supposed to smoke up some grub sat. he bought a new electric smoker last week. according to ups it will be here tomorrow. im doing a uds brisket. hes doing a loin on his new one. the horns will prevaile.

i got work to do. hes got one to stick togather and season. i got to finish the build and season. shoot. this is like jesse james monster garage.. but ill win the mac tools. same guy that got me the paint and the bolts that got the electric. i got him some misquite chips a couple days back so he'll be ready. hes 47 and new to smoke. im gonna coach him through his first few and show him the ropes of summer sausage cureing and smoking.
 
Very nice job BG. I like the antlers. Be careful CAT man may be by to get his UDS. LOL.
 
Very unique idea those horns. Great job so far.
 
well i live in town. so should keep them critteres to a min. except squirrels. anybody ever smoke squirrell?

well since there will be alot of venison going in it the antlers made sense.

time to work on her.
 
just got some more supplies for it. going back to work. got the casters and wheels on it today so its mobile.
 
table and therm installed. table made of two 2" thick by 13" rough cut oak boards. that should prevent warping and give me room to sand and renew when needed. shes looking sweet. a few more mods and some finish painting she'll be ready for cooks. adding the ss bolts for grates now.
